NoteShuttle Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using NoteShuttle, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy (https://noteshuttle.com/legal/privacy-policy.html). If you do not agree, do not use the application. At sign-up you must explicitly accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy and confirm your date of birth.
2. Eligibility & Minimum Age
NoteShuttle is only for users who are at least 13 years of age. During registration you must provide your date of birth; accounts of users under 13 are not permitted and will be terminated upon discovery, with data deleted as described in Section 6 (Account Termination) and our Privacy Policy. By creating an account you certify that this information is accurate.
3. Student Code of Conduct & UGC Rules
NoteShuttle is built to foster academic learning. You agree NOT to upload, post, or distribute:
- Harassing, abusive, threatening, defamatory, or hateful content.
- Sexually explicit or violently graphic material.
- Unauthorized leaked test questions or copyright-infringing commercial publications.
- Spam, phishing links, or unauthorized advertising.
4. Community Safety, Reporting & Blocking
Users have the right and ability to flag/report offensive content and immediately block abusive members. NoteShuttle reserves the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate community rules without prior notice.
5. Intellectual Property & Notes Ownership
You retain ownership of the study notes and educational materials you create. By sharing notes within NoteShuttle groups or public channels, you grant NoteShuttle a license to display and transmit such content to your designated study peers.
6. Account Termination & Deletion
Your agreement with NoteShuttle terminates when your account is terminated or deleted.
- By You: You may delete your account anytime via in-app settings (Settings > Account Security > Delete Account) or via our public web deletion portal at https://noteshuttle.com/legal/account-deletion.html. Deletions carry a 30-day grace period during which your data is hidden and can be restored upon logging in; after 30 days the account and your private data are permanently purged and the termination is irreversible.
- By Us: We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms (including under-13 use) or applicable law. On termination-by-violation, your private data is deleted following the same 30-day purge schedule described in our Privacy Policy.
- Shared content already distributed to study groups is retained with authorship anonymized, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Advertising & Analytics
NoteShuttle is ad-supported. You agree that Google AdMob may serve personalized ads using device advertising identifiers (including the Android Advertising ID on Android 13+), and that Google Firebase Analytics may collect usage data, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can limit personalized ads through your device's Google Ads settings.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
NoteShuttle is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We strive for 99.9% uptime, but we are not responsible for any lost notes or academic disruptions resulting from unexpected service interruptions.
9. Governing Law & Grievance Redressal
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. For any dispute or grievance, contact our Grievance Officer:
